Thank you! Over 200 people joined us to celebrate an amazing fifteen years of bringing together socially-minded investors and community-focused nonprofits to strengthen communities throughout Wisconsin. Robert Egger shared his stories of change and sparked good conversation about the value of nonprofits and the historical challenges the sector must overcome. He reminded everyone that the nonprofit sector in America is the economic equivalent of India. He encouraged people to find their voice for change. CG Schmidt also presented its Capital Region Ovation Award for Corporate Support to Gary Cervis Electric, which was nominated by Operation Fresh Start. This award recognizes smaller, lesser-known companies from among the 13 counties surrounding Madison that give back to the community with all the vigor of a larger, more prominent business. You can track the event, including Robert Egger's comment, through our @forwardci profile on Twitter. Search #fci15 for the "tweetscript." While Robert was in Madison, he also stopped by WTDY for In Business with Jody & Joan. You can listen to the interview via podcast. You can also see a few snapshots from the event here. |
